survival of the fittest in the business world
to share a little bit about my career. i had good working relationship with all my colleagues because i do not 'sabotage' or try to outshine them. in fact i always worked towards their betterment too when there is any new delegation of duties. stabbing someone to get to the top wasn't my cup of tea. maybe that was why i was quite a popular person then. anyway, i left the statutory board later to start my own business. after i tendered my resignation, the management held back my letter for two weeks, asking me to reconsider. looking back, it was sweet of them to have done that. i felt appreciated i guess.
now, i sometimes look back with mixed feelings about working for others and for myself. it is really a tough life surviving the odds in the open sea. half the time i feel like i can get eaten easily by looming sharks around. it's either that or i become a shark myself..
